International Fair For Metals and Steel came to an end.  Almost 3400 professional visitors came to Expo Silesia, Sosnowiec during 3 days of fair.

Conference regarding "Steel and Concrete" organised by Polish Steel Association (PSA) and Polish Cement Association (PCA) took place on the second day of fair.

- Our meeting is a wonderfull occasion to discuss important matters of steel and cement market – said PSA President Romuald Talarek before the conference. Steel is a special material when it comes to its application and the ability to use it and it composes well with other materials.

 

- Thats why we have decided that conducting talks about steel and cement in one place is a very good idea - said Mr Jan Deja director of Polish Cement Association.

Conference organisers showed the role of Cement and Steel in  the modern infrastructural investments.

Romuald Talarek (PSA) and Roger Manser (Steel Business Briefing) among others, said about the situation and the future of Polish and World Steel Industry.

Institute of non-ferrous metals organised a seminar entitled "Modern technologies of ore processing and non-ferrous metals metallurgy” on the same day.
 

 

The agreement concerning strategic cooperation between Polish Association of Steel Stockholders and Expo Silesia company the organiser of STEELMET fair - was signed by Andrzej Ciepiela the Director of PASS and Tomasz Raczyński the President of Expo Silesia on the first day of fair.

Exhibiton Center Expo Silesia is a perfect place for events like trade fairs or conferences. Each year we will organise our conferences dedicated to steel trade during the Steelmet fair.

Mr Andrzej Ciepiela before signing the document said " we are looking into 2010 with great hope and optimism for the whole steel business.

200 people took part in the international conference organized by PUDS entitled "The steel market in central and eastern Europe" which started after the contract got signed.

Thematic scope of the fair includes: trade of steel and non-ferrous metals, metallurgical products, metal sheets, bars, pipes, steel profiles, iron works, non-ferrous metals industry and steel processing.

Over 100 companies were present during STEELMET fair in Expo Silesia.

 

At the same time 3rd International Fair of Corrosion Protection SURFPROTEC and Welding Engineering Trade Fair SilesiaWELDING took place.
