The Fair of Urban Transport SilesiaKOMUNIKACJA 2009.

Expo Silesia Exhibition Centre, being the venue of the Fair, is situated in the centre of  Silesian conurbation inhabited by 3 million people. Such a location, as well as the fact, that several dozen kilometers from the conurbation there are two large industrial regions - Ostrava (The Czech Republic) and Żylina (Slovakia) inhabited by another several million people, is the reason why the issues of public transport and efficient communication is so important for  the citizens and the authorities.

Every day 1400 buses and more than 300 trams belonging to KZK GOP lines serve the people. It is the biggest public transport network in Poland which equals the joined potential of Warsaw, Poznań and Tri-City (Gdynia, Gdańsk, Sopot) conurbations. If we add the amount of KZK GOP vehicles and the vehicles belonging to the remaining organizers of public transport, we can say that in Silesian conurbation there are about 2000 buses and nearly 400 trams running every day.

The Fair will be accompanied by the conference concerning urban transport issues. The conference will be divided into thematic groups regarding the following means of transport:
