A few thousand mining professionals from all over the world will visit Poland in September 2008 to attend the 21st World Mining Congress & EXPO.

Organized as part of this fair event will be the World Mining Equipment Exhibition MINING EXPO 2008:

• A major trade fair to be held this year
• The largest event dedicated to the mining industry in the 21^st century - over 20,000 m² of exhibition space!
• Over 280 exhibitors from 23 countries - Australia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, the Czech Republic, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Great Britain, Holland, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, the United States, Sweden, and Turkey, which constitutes a record-breaking number!
• The world's largest companies specializing in the mining industry

• Special Joint Exhibits prepared by China, India, Australia, Turkey and Great Britain

It is for the first time in many years that MINING EXPO will be held in a European country - Poland. This is a fair event of great significance not only for the Polish mining industry, but also for the Polish economy itself.
Following this year's motto of the World Mining Congress - "New Challenges and Visions for Mining" - MINING EXPO will feature state-of-the-art mining techniques and technologies. The range of exhibited products and services will encompass coal mining equipment, longwall and pit shaft systems, utilization and application of various grades of coal, chemical and mechanical coal processing, hydraulic devices, pumps, compressors and ventilators, cranes and hoisting equipment, belt conveyors, mechanical coal miners as well as state-of-the-art lignite strip mining technologies, ore mining equipment, power supply protection systems utilized in mines, drilling equipment. There will also be exhibitors specializing in rock mining, e.g.: producers of road and construction crushing machines, suppliers of drilling and shot fire systems, technological transport companies.

The Exhibition will be organized in the Exhibition Centre EXPO SILESIA in Sosnowiec, which is located in the Silesia conurbation - the heart of the Polish mining industry.

This fair event is organized under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Poland - Lech Kaczyński.
